Five things you can’t miss for any reason

Are you celebrating Christmas in the Marche? Are you planning a tour in our region? Would you like to do a run in one of the most beautiful regions in Italy?

Well, here you will find five things you can’t absolutely miss in the Marche region.

THE LIVING NATIVITY SCENE OF GENGA

It is the biggest living nativity scene in the world. It covers a surface of 30 thousand square meters into the Gola of Frasassi. It was born in 1981 and is carried out by the citizens of the nice Genga, among which about 300 are characters.
More than 380 thousand people visited this living nativity scene. The portrayals are set in December 26 and December 30.

THE STREET MARKETS OF ASCOLI PICENO

As every year, they embellish Piazza Arringo for Christmas. In Ascoli Piceno, there is the beautiful Christmas market where you can buy the last gifts, you can taste our local products and buy some Christmas decorations.
Until January 6, you can also skate in the square where there is an ice-skating rink.

SKATING IN THE OLD TOWN OF FERMO

Would you like to skate in the old town? You can skate in the nice Piazza del Popolo in Fermo where there is an ice-skating rink settled from the end of November. You can also admire the small town of Fermo from the Ferris wheel (it’s the same used by Fedez and Chiara Ferragni for their wedding!).

CHRISTMAS CONCERTS IN PESARO

As every year, the Rossini Conservatory organizes the traditional Christmas concert.
It will take place on Thursday, December 20 at 18.00 at the Chiesa della Maddalena. While in the evening, at 21.00, at the Teatro Sperimentale (free entrance), the Gioachino Orchestra will perform together with the choir “Gemme” of the primary school, Missionarie della Fanciullezza of Pesaro with the special participation of the baritone Nicola Alaimo.

THE EXHIBITION OF LORENZO LOTTO

During Christmas holidays, you should not miss one of the most beautiful exhibitions you can admire in the Italian artistic overview. We are talking about the exhibition that is located in Macerata at the Civic Museums of Palazzo Bonaccorsi. The opening is from Monday to Sunday, from 10 am to 6 pm., Guided tours require booking: 22-23, and 29-30 December h 15, 5-6 and January, h 15.
