Fermignano is a town with Roman origins, that is placed on the left bank of the Metauro river in the province of Pesaro Urbino.

Fermignano has a small old town, but it has lots architectures. In fact, it is interesting to see the high medieval Tower of the Militia,  the Bridge with three arches, that crosses a striking waterfall and the S. Giacomo in Compostela Church with frescoes of fourteenth and fifteenth century.

Farmignano is surrounded by a splendid and hillylandscape named Gola del Furlo an area’s environmental protection and an oasis protection of same flora and fauna species.

In addition, there is a famous paper mill built by Montefeltro family. Then, it was replaced with a woolen mill and subsequently, it was converted into a pasta factory too. Probably, these events gave to this town a living industrial imprinting.

Farmignano is an important town, because it was the birthplace of the great Renaissance architect Donato Bramante.

Every year and during the first Sunday after the Easter, there is an historic tournament named “Palio della Rana”, that takes place with old clothes. There is another important event the Gran Prix of Bicyclo Ottocentesco, an ancient commemoration with old clothes in a modern and active resort.
